Full Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Cologne

Travel from UK to Brussels and then connect on to the German ICE train to Cologne. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring this cosmopolitan city. Visit Cologne's Chocolate Museum for a tasting, relax in a traditional bar and sample the local speciality beer, or head up to the top of the Dom for fabulous views over the city. Day 2: Cologne - Copenhagen

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before you travel by train to Copenhagen. Travel via Hamburg then the impressive Great Belt Fixed Link to Copenhagen. On arrival, check-in at your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Copenhagen) B

Day 3: Copenhagen

After breakfast this morning, start exploring Copenhagen on your city walk, a beautiful harbour city straddling the islands of Zeeland and Amager and offering a wealth of museums, culture, shopping and sightseeing opportunities. Take a guided canal and harbour tour or enjoy a spin on the Ferris wheel at the Tivoli Gardens, the oldest amusement park in the world. Visit Kronborg castle in Elsinore, home of a famous Shakespearian Dane, or shop until you drop on Strøget, the world's longest pedestrianised street. After a day sightseeing, why not visit the lively Norrebrø district and enjoy dinner or relax in one of the many bars? (Overnight in Copenhagen) B

Day 4: Copenhagen to Gothenburg

After breakfast in the hotel, take the train to Gothenburg. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. Spend an afternoon in one of Gothenburg's many museums or for something slightly different, take a boat trip out to the 17th century Alvsborgs Fastning Fortress. After an afternoon sightseeing, relax in one of the city's restaurants. Gothenburg has a worldwide reputation for innovative cuisine using local produce and boasts several Michelin starred restaurants. (Overnight in Gothenburg) B

Day 5: Gothenburg - Oslo

After breakfast in the hotel, travel by train to another Scandinavian capital, Oslo. On arrival in Oslo, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Discover Oslo's fascinating history by visiting the Historical Museum, explore the Gamlebyen (old town) area, or go for a stroll along the Akerselva River. Visit Akershus Castle and Fortress; the old castle built to protect Oslo and Norway. (Overnight in Oslo) B

Day 6: Oslo

Sightsee your way around the Norwegian capital with the visit Oslo Pass your ticket to get to know the city. Use it for free admissions to must-visit attractions like the Kon-Tiki Museum and Akershus Fortress and make use of discounts at Tusenfryd theme park and Oslo Winter Park among other sites. Day 7: Olso - Stockholm

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before travelling by train from Oslo to Stockholm. On arrival, check into your hotel for a two-night stay. Several Stockholm's main sights are in Gamla Stan, the Old Town area, including the Royal Palace with the Crown Jewel exhibition and the cathedral dating from the mid-13th century. Day 8: Stockholm

After breakfast, Discover two of Stockholm's sightseeing highlights on this morning's walking tour. Walk the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan (Old Town), then stop by the Kungliga Slottet (the Royal Palace) pose for photos outside and learn about the Swedish royal family from your expert guide. Next Storkyrkan (Coronation Church) and the statue of St George and the Dragon. Enjoy a ferry ride to Djurgården to tour the Vasa Museum, home to an ancient warship that sank in 1628 and has been painstakingly restored. (Overnight in Stockholm) B

Day 9: Stockholm - UK
