Situated just a short walk from Calvi’s sandy beach and stylish Port de Plaisance, this converted 17th century monastery is the ideal place to stay should you wish to sample the delights of Calvi. The hotel has been comfortably refurbished with a light and airy reception area and a traditionally panelled breakfast room, which serves a buffet breakfast with views over the garden terrace to the side of the hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings and some have side views overlooking the small, but well-kept garden area – the perfect place to relax after a hard day’s sight seeing. Unspoilt, un-commercialised and truly beautiful. I discovered Corsica only a few years ago and fell in love with it. It’s an Island of immense natural beauty, with stunning coastlines, clear turquoise waters, breath-taking mountain scenery, medieval villages and chic seaside resorts which capture the hearts of returning visitors year after year. The great news is that you can now fly to Corsica direct from Bristol Airport, which is a real bonus.
