Day 1: UK - Halifax

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your flight to Halifax. Upon arrival, we transfer to the Westin Nova Scotian (4T) or Delta Halifax (4T) for the first of two nights.

Day 2: Halifax

Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, is steeped in seafaring history and tradition. We enjoy an orientation tour to familiarise ourselves with the city, including a visit to Citadel National Historic Site to explore the history of the star-shaped fortress and the British and Canadian soldiers stationed here. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the vibrant community life of Halifax.

Day 3: Halifax - Chester

Tracing the rugged coastline of Nova Scotia southwards, we make stops at the tiny fishing village of Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg, home of the Bluenose II, a fishing schooner that has become symbolic and synonymous with Nova Scotia. We stay the night at the Atlantica Oak Island Resort (4T), minutes from Chester and Mahone Bay.

Day 4: Chester - Digby

The Kejimkujik Scenic Drive unites the coastlines of Nova Scotia, from the granite rocks of the Atlantic south shore, through the lush Annapolis Valley to the fishing ports of the Bay of Fundy. We stop at the floral wonderland of Annapolis Royal Gardens, where over 400 years of history are displayed through gardening methods and designs that include hundreds of roses. Our hotel is the Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa (4T).

Day 5: Digby - Saint John

We catch the ferry across from Digby to the City of Saint John. Sitting along the Bay of Fundy, this is Canada’s oldest incorporated city, and Saint John is filled with unique architecture, vibrant restaurants, and historic sights. Our hotel is the Hilton Saint John (4T).

Day 6: Saint John - Shediac

Today we travel north to Shediac, stopping at Hopewell Cape, where we find a natural phenomenon and an icon of New Brunswick - Hopewell Rocks carved from the coastline by the powerful Bay of Fundy tides. Tide times permitting, there is even the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor. Our hotel for two nights is the Hotel Shediac (3T). This evening we have a sunset lobster cruise with dinner.

Day 7: Ste-Anne-de-Kent

The Acadians are the descendants of Maritime Canada’s 17th century French colonists, and we discover a little about their heritage and lifestyle on an excursion to the Olivier Soapery and take lunch at Bouctouche’s Le Pays de la Sagouine. Created from internationally-renowned Acadian novelist Antonine Maillet, the fictional island ‘Le Pays’ is where Acadians celebrate and characters speak a colourful language rooted in Acadian culture.

Day 8: Prince Edward Island

Crossing the Confederation Bridge eastwards, we reach Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province. Known as the ‘million acre farm’, this delightful island is idyllically rural. Our exploration of the island begins at Cavendish where we visit Green Gables Heritage Place where the author of Anne of Green Gables, Lucy Maud Montgomery was inspired to write many novels. We spend two nights in either the island’s charming Victorian capital, at the Rodd Charlottetown (3T+) or the Rodd Brudenell River Resort (3T+) set within the Brudenell River Provincial Park just 30 minutes from Charlottetown.

Day 9: Prince Edward Island

Today you will have time to explore Charlottetown, the historical island’s vibrant seaside capital city, with a network of walking trails and waterside boardwalks, craft and speciality shops to discover, as well as opportunities to delve deeper into its past.

Day 10: Prince Edward Island - Baddeck

Bidding farewell to Prince Edward Island, we make the short journey to the Wood Islands ferry port, and cross to Pictou, Nova Scotia. From there, we traverse the Canso Causeway, and follow the sublimely scenic Cabot Trail to Cape Breton Island and the town of Baddeck, where the scientist and inventor Alexander Graham Bell built his summer house. We visit the museum established in his honour and relax for the night at the Silver Dart Lodge (3T).

Day 11: Baddeck - Ingonish

Day12MAC.jpg The Cabot Trail continues north and we follow it to the shores of the Atlantic and a coastline likened to that of Scotland. Rounding the top of the island, we drive through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, a spectacular wilderness route, to rural Ingonish, where we spend a night at Keltic Lodge Resort & Spa (4T).

Day 12: Ingonish - Liscomb Mills

The Ceilidh Trail is another bewitchingly scenic drive, reflecting much of Cape Breton’s Scottish heritage. We re-cross the Canso Causeway to Nova Scotia and the day’s final destination. We check-in to the Liscombe Lodge Resort (4T) in Liscomb Mills, deep in the forests of Nova Scotia.

Day 13: Liscomb Mills - Halifax - In flight

We visit Sherbrooke Historic Village, a working recreation of a 100-year-old shipbuilding and lumbering community, before we return to Halifax along the eastern shore of Nova Scotia, and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Day 14: UK

Upon arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting for the journey home.
